Tire Feed System

Balcones Plant (CEMEX) — New Braunfels, Texas – Completed: 2002

AFS provided a fully automated, turnkey whole-tire feeding system for the plant’s four-stage preheater kiln. The system included a trailer tipper, live-bottom hopper, tire separation and inspection equipment, a 290-foot inclined truss-framed belt conveyor, accumulation conveyors, support steel and platforms, a tire-weighing system with feed-rate control, and an airlock valve. AFS also completed the mechanical, electrical, and civil installation, along with PLC programming and system commissioning.
