This system was engineered to adapt an existing tire-feeding line to a new precalciner combustion burner for whole-tire fuel. The scope included a double-gate airlock valve with maintenance gate, a pneumatically actuated zoned accumulation slide, tire flip chute, hook elevator extension, and belt conveyor extensions.
A key challenge was tying into the existing conveying system several meters above the burner inlet while maintaining safe, controlled flow. The final design uses zoned accumulation slides to regulate tire descent and provide buffering for a steady, consistent feed rate. A tire flip chute redirects the drop and delivers tires into the burner at the optimal injection point for reliable combustion performance.
